Why the EA

Why the EA from Saudi Arabia.

The Enrolled Agent (EA) is the highest credential awarded by the US Internal Revenue Service. For expat accountants in Saudi Arabia it is a portable US-tax credential: remote US work now, and Big 4 or outsourcing roles back home later.

  • Accountants in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam

Whether you trained in India, Pakistan or the Philippines, the EA adds a US-tax credential you can take to any employer, in the Kingdom or back home.

  • A route back to India or Pakistan

Big 4 delivery centres and US-tax outsourcing firms in India and Pakistan recruit for US-tax roles. Qualify while you work in the Kingdom and return with the credential.

  • Remote and freelance income

US tax preparation is remote work: with the EA you can prepare US returns and represent clients before the IRS from wherever you are.

  • Working with US expats

US citizens working in the Kingdom, for example in the Eastern Province's energy sector, still file US returns. The EA is the IRS credential for preparing them.

Remote testing for international candidates has been running since 2 September 2026; book your slot and check the system requirements with PSI.

  • Exam fee

USD 317 per part, paid directly to PSI when you book. PSI accepts MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
