How to request deletion

You can ask us to delete your account at any time, whether you enrolled through the Sankhya Academy Android app, through learn.sankhyaacademy.com, or by speaking to us. You do not need a reason, and there is no charge.

Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account — deleting it from your phone only removes the app. Use the steps below to have the account itself removed.

  1. Send the request from your registered email address

Email support@sankhyaacademy.com from the address you use to sign in to the Sankhya Academy app or learn.sankhyaacademy.com, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you would rather use WhatsApp, message +91 99923 79923 from your registered mobile number. Both buttons below fill the message in for you.

  2. Include these four things

    • Your full name, as it appears on the account.
    • The email address the account is registered with.
    • The mobile number the account is registered with.
    • The sentence: “Please delete my Sankhya Academy account and the data linked to it.”

Never send your password, a card number or an OTP. We will never ask you for them.

  3. We confirm we have your request

We reply to your registered email address to confirm we have the request. If we cannot match it to an account, we ask you for one more detail first — the course you enrolled in, or an invoice number — so that nobody else can have your account deleted.

  4. We delete within 30 days

Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request, usually much sooner. We email you once it is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and login on learn.sankhyaacademy.com and in the Android app.
  • Your profile: name, email address, mobile number and any delivery address you gave us.
  • Your course progress: videos watched, MCQ practice, test attempts and scores.
  • Your place on our email list and any enquiry record we hold about you — removed once your learning-platform account is deleted, so that nothing re-creates it.
  • Support messages, except where they form part of an invoice record (see below).

Once it is done, the login stops working and the recorded classes, LMS material and MCQ practice are no longer available to you. Fees already paid are not refunded — deletion is not a cancellation, and our terms make fees non-refundable. If you study with us again later, you start with a new account.

What we have to keep, and why

  • GST invoices and payment records

Indian tax law requires us to keep accounting records for several years after the financial year concerned. These stay in our accounting records, are not used for marketing, and are not used to contact you.

  • A minimal note of the request itself

That a deletion request was made, and when it was completed, so we can show it was carried out.

  • Short-lived platform backups

Backups kept by the platforms we use may hold copies for a short period until they are overwritten in the normal cycle. They are not used for anything.

If you only want part of it changed

Deletion is all or nothing, so if you want to keep studying, these smaller changes may be what you are after:

  • Stop the emails — use the unsubscribe link in any academy email, or reply and ask us to stop. Your account stays as it is.
  • Correct your details — email support@sankhyaacademy.com and ask us to fix the name, email address or mobile number on your account.
  • Ask what we hold — email sudheer@sankhyaacademy.com and we will tell you.

What we collect in the first place, and who handles it for us, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
