Who we are
Sankhya Academy is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) coaching academy in Hyderabad, India, founded by CA Sudheer Lokanadham. The business is a proprietorship. Its legal name is Sudheer Lokanadham, trading as S Lokanadham and Co, GSTIN 36ANAPL1805D1ZL, Telangana, India. “Sankhya Academy” is the name we trade under and the developer name we publish our Android app under on Google Play.
In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that business. We decide what happens to the information described below, so responsibility for it is ours.
What this policy covers
It covers:
- this website, sankhyaacademy.com;
- our learning platform at learn.sankhyaacademy.com;
- the Sankhya Academy Android app, once it is available on Google Play, which signs in to that same platform; and
- the email, phone and WhatsApp conversations you have with us.
It does not cover the IRS, PSI Services, Google or any other site we link to. Those are run by other people under their own policies.
The website collects almost nothing
The pages of sankhyaacademy.com are static. We run no analytics. We use no tracking pixels and no advertising tags. We set no cookies of our own. No page on this site collects anything from you — every contact button is a phone, WhatsApp or email link that opens your own app, so you decide what to send and what to leave out.
Three qualifications, so that this is the whole picture:
- The site also runs two private endpoints that are never reached from a page you are looking at. One receives sign-up and enrolment notices from our learning platform. The other runs once a night to keep our email list in step with that platform. Both are described under the learning platform and the Android app below.
- Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web-server logs — things like IP address, time, and which page was requested — to keep the site up and to stop abuse. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors, and we do not use them for advertising. The two endpoints above write their own application logs as they run; email addresses are masked in those logs.
- The checklist on our PTIN guide remembers which boxes you have ticked. That is stored by your own browser on your own device. It is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
When you enquire about a course
If you call, message us on WhatsApp or email us, we keep that conversation and whatever you chose to tell us in it, so that we can answer you and follow up about the course.
We also use a short enquiry form hosted on Google Forms, which we send you by link or on WhatsApp — it is not embedded on this website. It asks for your name, email address and phone number. We use those details to reply to you and to tell you about the EA course — nothing else.
The learning platform and the Android app
Our courses are delivered on Graphy (the Spayee platform), at learn.sankhyaacademy.com. The Android app is built on the same platform and signs in to the same account — installing it does not create a second account. Through that account:
- you give a name, email address and mobile number to register;
- you pay through the payment gateway built into Graphy’s checkout, which issues a GST invoice. Card, UPI and netbanking details go to the gateway and your bank. We never see or store them. What reaches us is that a payment succeeded, for which course, and the invoice;
- the platform records your course progress — videos watched, MCQ practice attempted, tests taken — and technical information about your use of it, such as device and app data. It uses that to run the service and to enforce our one-login-per-student rule;
- for printed study material, you give us a delivery address — in the platform or by message. We hold it for as long as it takes to courier the material and to sort out anything that goes wrong in transit;
- when you create an account or enrol, the platform tells our email service provider, so that we can send you the emails that go with your course — a welcome note, a guide to the PTIN and the exam, and a message when you finish a paper. What we pass on is your name, email address, the courses you are enrolled in and have completed, and the date you joined. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link.
Who handles data for us
We are a small academy. We do not write our own software or run our own servers. These companies handle information on our behalf:
- Graphy (Spayee) — runs learn.sankhyaacademy.com, the Android app and checkout: accounts, course delivery, progress and payments.
- Our email service provider — sends course and academy email from mail.sankhyaacademy.com. It holds your name and email address, your learner reference on the learning platform, the courses you are enrolled in and have completed, the date you joined, and whether you are a student or an enquiry, so that the right emails reach the right people. These details are kept in step with the learning platform by the nightly job described above.
- Google Play — distributes the Android app when it is published. Google’s own privacy policy governs the Play Store itself, including your install and any review you leave there.
- Google Forms — hosts the course enquiry form.
- Our website host — serves sankhyaacademy.com and keeps the server logs described above.
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it over for anyone else’s advertising.
Why we use your information
- to give you access to the course you paid for, and to send the printed material;
- to issue GST invoices and keep the accounting records the law requires;
- to answer your questions and provide support;
- to tell you about class schedules, live Q&A timings, exam changes and our courses;
- to keep the platform secure, which includes enforcing one login per student.
How long we keep it
- Account, profile and course progress — while you are enrolled, and until you ask us to delete them.
- Invoices, payment records and GST records — for the period Indian tax law requires us to keep them, which runs for several years after the financial year concerned. We keep these because the law says so; they are not used for marketing.
- Enquiries that never became an enrolment — for a short period, and then we let them go.
- Email list — if you enrol, you are added to it automatically so that the emails that go with your course reach you, and you come off it when your account is deleted. We stop emailing you the moment you unsubscribe. The record that you unsubscribed is kept, so that nothing puts you back on the list; ask us at sudheer@sankhyaacademy.com and we will remove the entry itself.
Asking for a copy, a correction or deletion
Write to sudheer@sankhyaacademy.com from the email address on your account and you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Using the registered address is how we know the request is really yours; if we cannot match it to an account, we will ask you for one more detail before we act.

How we contact you
We contact you about your enrolment — access details, schedules, weekend Q&A timings and material dispatch — by email, WhatsApp or phone. We may also send occasional academy email about courses and exam updates. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can simply reply and ask us to stop. We do not send messages on behalf of other businesses.
Children
Our courses are professional training for adults preparing for the IRS Special Enrollment Examination. They are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Keeping it safe
Accounts, payments and course material sit on Graphy’s platform rather than on machines of our own. One LMS login is issued per student and it is personal and non-transferable. Within the academy, access to student records is limited to the founder and anyone he asks to help with teaching, support or accounts, and only for that purpose. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong in a way that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. When a change matters — a new company handling data for us, or a new kind of information collected — we will say so here rather than quietly edit a line.
